23 affirmations for photographers

We all have those moments of doubt and sometimes even regret. I’ll be honest with you: I almost have them daily. But I found a way to deal -at least partly – with those thoughts and hope to have them flushed away at some point. Affirmations are super helpful to think about and to tell yourself. Maybe even first thing in the morning – as a morning affirmation – to set the tone and mind in the right state before the madness starts.

How did I came up with affirmations for photographers and their businesses? Well.. I simply couldn’t find any specific prompts or quotes for my own journey as a photographer. But I enjoyed my daily routine setting affirmations for the day first thing in the morning. So I combined 1 + 1 and came up with these sentences to hopefully provide you with what you searched for. So let’s dive into it!

How to utilize those affirmations? There are a few ideas that fit different people. As I mentioned earlier I am using them inside my morning routine. Every morning I make myself a coffee and take out my planner. It’s not a fancy one where I draw and place stickers over every page. It had to be simple and convenient. On top of every days page there is a short affirmation to set the intention for the day. They helped me get focused and put myself in a better mood. It is a motivational thing to start the day.

Another great way to use those pictures is as screen savers. I see so many business women every day that have their motivation, their drivers on their phone. Since every person is checking it on a minutely basis anyway why not have a little reminder of your motivation?

The benefits of daily positive affirmations – whether or not they are specialized for photographers – are plenty. Especially for a clean intention for the day or the overcoming of self-doubt and fear in the long run. It’s a less awkward version of speaking to yourself in the mirror every morning basically.

Another awesome benefit is the ability to reduce stress. By working with positive affirmations you’re worrying less about the obstacles (that are in ones head rather than actually true) of your work as a photographer or freelancer in general. Therefore you’re getting calmer, more confident and produce less stress for yourself.

However, in the long run you would reshape how you think about yourself since you are actively working on getting in a better mental state, being more positive about your career and more confident in your abilities.

The Essence of motivational affirmations

So I hope those little text passages and the wallpapers or just inspirations for your journal are going to help you become a more confident photographer.

This is what my journal sessions look like by the way. Nothing special just a notebook to collect the plan for the day.

If you would like me to dive deeper into my journaling habit or how I plan my days. Let me know.

When I started out I really enjoyed reading and looking at other peoples habits. I am curious if its still the case with other people on the internet  🙂
